PowerTelnet

PowerTelnet, a new remote login system, uses encryption to provide private channel communications between any two computers

The package uses proven public-key encryption technology to provide a secure, private channel for remote login between two computers over insecure networks. Keystrokes and data generated at each end of the channel are securely encrypted before being transmitted across the network, protecting the integrity and privacy of sensitive information as it travels.

The public-key mechanism used for encryption removes the need for any complex key management system P a shortcoming of private-key systems P and in fact allows any two computers running PowerTelnet to communicate in private without any prior arrangements having been made between the sites.

Companies benefiting from PowerTelnet will include those with remote offices or locations, those sharing network access with untrusted users, and those with personnel who need to log in from other companiesU computer sites.

PowerTelnet joins a growing line of security software products from FSA Corporation, including the industry-leading PowerBroker root control and auditing software, and the PowerLogin login and password management system.

PowerTelnet is available immediately on Sun, HP, IBM, DEC, SGI, Sequent, and Motorola UNIX platforms. Pricing starts at $495.
